SPRITZ Makes It Possible To Read 500 wpm
I remember reading about something similar a few years ago, rapid serial visual presentation to enhance reading speed. It flashed individual words at a time on a screen and all of a sudden it became easier to read a lots of words quicker. Now what this new App Spritz does differently is manipulate the format of the words to more appropriately line them up with the eye’s natural motion of reading.
The “Optimal Recognition Point” (ORP) is slightly left of the centre of each word, and is the precise point at which our brain deciphers each jumble of letters. The unique aspect of Spritz is that it identifies the ORP of each word, makes that letter red and presents all of the ORPs at the same space on the screen. In this way, our eyes don’t move at all as we see the words, and we can therefore process information instantaneously rather than spend time decoding each word.
Being Dyslexic I have always found it hard to read at a reasonable pace, so naturally when I learned for this app I was eager to give it a go to see if it really does help one process information read quicker. What do you know I was truly shocked at the results, I think this wonderful App is every Dyslexics dream come true, I now have a chance of reading the latest novel and other articles just as fast if not faster than the average person! I will defiantly look into getting Spritz.
Spritz is about to go public with Samsung’s new line of wearable technology. I think I’m defiantly going to wait for the Samsung S5 to come out before I upgrade my mobile phone!
